Staff
Dr Meleckidzedeck Khayesi
Founder and Chief Executive Director
Dr Meleckidzedeck Khayesi holds a Bachelor of Education degree, a certificate of teaching, a Master of Arts degree in Geography and a PhD in Transport Geography. He has 30 years of work experience that straddles global health policy development and programming, scientific research, university teaching and mentoring, and programme evaluation. His research and professional career have evolved systematically over these 28 years, with increasing levels of complexity and responsibility. Rising from a secondary school teacher, through a graduate/research assistant and co-principal researcher, he advanced to become a principal researcher and an international civil servant. With a penchant for mentoring others, he has supervised and advised several graduate students and interns, and provided guidance to many technical staff implementing intervention projects in countries as well as to researchers. The ability to be a real team player and to build strong partnerships is also imperative, leading him to collaborate with many representatives of governmental, academic and non-governmental agencies in policy and research programmes. Overall, he has extensive expertise in programme development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. He is highly skilled in capacity development and research, with a specific focus on transport, road safety and development.
David Khayesi
Co-founder and Strategist
David Khayesi holds Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science. He has a strong interest in making a difference in society and is meticulous on details and actions. He brings with him endurance and persistence that he has honed as a footballer, a trainer and a worker. He has closely followed and shown a deep interest in his father’s ideas on change and transformation. He will see to it that these ideas are operationalized in the work of MSC.
In addition to the founder, CEO and strategist, MSC has administrative assistant and a few other staff members to support its day-to-day operations. To minimize operational costs, volunteer staff are utilized whenever available on need basis.
